<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker prevented from impairing appearance and from making it hard to open a lid due to the enlargement of a clearance between a rice cooker body and the lid under secular use while assuring safety by preventing sticking of water to a heating control substrate, melting and ignition of a member that forms an outer enclosure of the cooker body, and the expansion spread of a fire inside the rice cooker body. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The rice cooker includes: the rice cooker body having an inner pot storage part of bottomed cylinder shape; an inner pot detachably enclosed in the rice cooker body; a lid body for covering the upper surface opening of the rice cooker in an openable/closable manner; a heating means for heating the inner pot; an upper frame constituting the upper surface of the rice cooker body and having a hinge part for journaling the lid body at the rear; and the heating control substrate disposed below the hinge part of the upper frame and including a control device for controlling the heating means. The rice cooker further has a hinge reinforcing plate made of metal and supported on the lower surface of the hinge part of the upper frame to cover the whole upper surface of the heating control substrate.
