PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier capable of carrying a long size honeycomb molded article obtained by extrusion molding at a high speed with simple equipment without generation of breaking nor deformation, and carrying method. SOLUTION: The carrier for a honeycomb molding is equipped with a plural number of bearers 3a for a long size molded article at a down flow position of an extrusion molding device 2 which supports honeycomb molded articles 5 supplied one by one under synchronizing with a molding speed of the honeycomb molded articles 5 and then carries them to a down flow direction and a fixed supporting part fixed from the extrusion molding device 2 up to the supplying position of the bearers 3a for a long size molded article which supports the honeycomb molded article 5 just after extrusion molding and carries up to the bearers 3a for a long size molded article, wherein the fixed supporting part comprises an air float 4 which is equipped with a supporting surface 14 formed along with a shape of a cross section of the honeycomb molded article 5 and a plural number of air discharging pores 24 which is positioned at the supporting surface and the honeycomb molded article 5 is carried under sliding from the extrusion molding device 2 up to the supporting bearers 3a for a long size molded article by discharging air from the air discharging pores 24 between the supporting surface 14 and the honeycomb molded article 5.
