A stator arrangement, a generator having the stator arrangement, a wind turbine having a generator with the stator arrangement, and a method of positioning a stator is disclosed. The stator arrangement of the electric machine is set up in a cylindrical form where the stator arrangement is radially surrounded by a rotatably mounted rotor arrangement. During normal operation the stator arrangement is non-rotatably connected to a stationary part of the electric machine. The stator arrangement is releasable from the non-rotatable connection to the stationary part of the electric machine where the stator arrangement is interlockable with a rotating part of the electric machine causing the stator arrangement to revolve if the rotating part rotates.
