The device (1) has a turbine casing (2) provided with an outer spiral housing (4) and an inner spiral housing (5), where the inner spiral housing has a partition wall (6) for flow separation of two partial flows (8, 9). The inner spiral housing is adjustable by an adjustment device (7) such that the flow separation of the partial flows is reversed and switched between an impact turbocharging and a hold-up turbocharging. The outer spiral housing has a partition wall (10) cooperating with the partition wall of the inner spiral housing.
