<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing ink that secures high level of dispersion stability and discharge stability of ink and has excellent robustness (abrasion resistance) of a recording image. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for producing ink at least having a resin-adsorption step of obtaining a pigment dispersion containing a pigment which adsorbed a resin for dispersion through a mechanical dispersion process; and a resin-addition step of further adding the resin to the pigment dispersion obtained from the resin-adsorption step, the amount of the resin for dispersion used in the resin-adsorption step is such that the content of the resin which is not adsorbed to the pigment in the pigment dispersion obtained from the resin-adsorption step is less than 0.05 mass% of the pigment content, and the amount of the resin used for the addition in the resin-addition step is such that the total content of the resin in the pigment dispersion obtained from the resin-addition step is 0.65 mass% or more of the pigment content. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
