<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a cylindrical endless belt for electrophotography having a uniform volume resistivity and a smooth surface. <P>SOLUTION: A hollow cylindrical tube is obtained by extrusion-molding a thermoplastic resin composition containing polyetheretherketone and a conductive inorganic filler. The tube is reduced into a thin film by being taken up so that may be a draw-down ratio not less than 2.5 and not more than 50 under the condition that the surface temperature of the tube is a melting point (Tm) of the thermoplastic resin composition of not lower than -55°C. The thinned tube is solidified by being cooled to a temperature of not higher than a glass transition temperature (Tg) within a predetermined time while the surface temperature of the thinned film is not lower than Tm -55°C. The solidified thinned film is clamped between the inner mold and the outer mold, and in the state the film is heated at a predetermined rate of a temperature increase to a temperature exceeding Tg but not higher than a crystallization starting temperature below Tm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
