<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: attempts to make an upright piano include a sostenuto device are performed conventionally but all of them cause uncomfortable feeling in a hand under performance. <P>SOLUTION: The sostenuto device includes a rigid bracket 25 that is attached to a damper lever 7 and projects below its lower end, a fin 49 having spring properties projecting below the lower end, a sostenuto rod 63 turned by a treading operation of a sostenuto pedal, and a locking projection 65 that projects outward from its outer peripheral surface and comes from and goes to a moving route of the fin 49 by turning of the sostenuto rod 63. The sostenuto device meets the request of weight reduction and rigidity increase, does not disturb the turning operation of the damper lever 7 corresponding to another key during work, and does not cause uncomfortable feeling in the hand under performance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
