<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club where the insertion depth of a shaft case can be changed and a method for changing the insertion depth of the shaft. <P>SOLUTION: In the golf club, a shaft 4 is fitted to the hosel 3 of the head 1 via the shaft case 5, a spacer 7, and screw members 6 and 8. The screw member 8 is fitted around the shaft 4, and the shaft case 5 is fixed to the distal end of the shaft 4 using an adhesive. The screw member 6 is screwed to the hosel 3. The shaft case 5 is inserted to the hosel 3 via the spacer 7, and the male screw 8b of the screw member 8 is screwed to the female screw 6d of the screw member 6 while slants 5c and 5c are superposed with slants 7c and 7c and slants 7d and 7d are superposed with slants 3d and 3d.
