摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inspect nozzles without a time necessary for image formation being increased. <P>SOLUTION: Image formation for one pass is carried out when the nozzle 23 including a plurality of nozzles ejects an ink to a recording paper S in an image forming region while a printing head 24 moves a forward way or a return way of a movable region once. When an image is formed to the recording paper S by carrying out the image formation of one pass by a plurality of the number of times, the nozzles within an inspection object nozzle maximum number which can be inspected while the printing head 24 moves in a region opposed to either of inspection regions 52 and 152 among the nozzles which eject the ink in image formation of the next pass are sequentially set to be inspection object nozzles. The set inspection object nozzles are inspected while the nozzle 23 moves in the region opposed to the inspection regions 52 and 152 between passes.
