<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breather device capable of responding to both occasions of positive pressure generation and negative pressure generation in a case. <P>SOLUTION: The breather device is equipped with a drive pinion 13, a breather body 21 medially supported in the pinion 13 so as to partition a case internal space 12 from an external space P while forming a communication passage 25 with the pinion 13 for communicating the internal space 12 to the external space P, and a breather valve 22 provided so as to open/close the communication passage 25 and opened when pressure increases in the internal space 12. The breather valve 22 comprises a valve seat part 23 provided to the breather body 21 together with a through-hole 25c, a valve part 24 detachable with the seat part 23 for receiving the atmospheric pressure to a valve-opening direction, and a compression coil spring 26 for biasing the valve part 24 to a valve-closing direction. Centrifugal force acts on the valve part 24 by the rotation of the pinion 13, and the breather valve 22 is switched between valve-opening operation and valve-closing operation according to the rotation speed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
