<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motion state maintaining device adapted to suppress slowdown of a moving object and thereby effectively maintain the motion state of the moving object by arranging magnets so that the moving object proceeds along magnetic lines generated from the magnets. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A supporting bodies 13, 15 formed of magnetic bodies are arranged so as to sandwich the gap therebetween with both magnetic poles 11a, 11b of the main magnet 11 opposed to each other, and hold auxiliary magnets 12, 14 on the side opposite to the main magnet 11. In two magnetic poles of the auxiliary magnets 12, 14, magnetic poles 12a, 14a on the side far from the magnetic poles 11a, 11b of the main magnet 11 have different magnetism from the magnetic poles 11a, 11b of the main magnet 11 have.
