<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust a conveying timing in various paper feeding paths and prevent a conveying noise caused by a back tension of a print sheet, while avoiding complication of the structure, saving a space and reducing costs with a simple structure. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The printer includes: a pair of resist rollers 240a and 240b, arranged in an upper stream of a head unit 110 of a usual path CR, maintaining a recording medium according to paper feeding, and adjusting a sending-out timing of the recording medium to an image forming part; a paper feeding conveying path FR extending to the resist rollers 240a and 240b; and a feeding means supplying the recording medium from the paper-feeding-conveying-path FR side to the resist rollers 240a and 240b. The operation speed or operation acceleration of the feeding means is controlled, according to the back tension to the recording medium conveyed on the usual path CR.
