Provided is a receiver apparatus that outputs service information at an appropriate timing when the receiver apparatus is in an appropriate area so as to impart customer attractions into the delivered service information. Further provided is a communication system in which the receiver apparatus is used. A receiver apparatus (100) comprises: a receiving unit (30) that receives service information transmitted by a narrow-area base station (200) and including display timing conditions and also receives the identifier information of a wide-area base station (300) transmitted by the wide-area base station (300); a storage unit (40) in which the service information and the identifier information are stored; a display unit (50) that displays the service information; and a control unit (10) that associates the service information received by the receiving unit (30) with the identifier information of the wide-area base station (300) also received by the receiving unit (30) and stores the thus associated service information and identifier information into the storage unit (40) and thereafter, when the receiving unit (30) receives the identifier information of the wide-area base station (300) associated with the service information again, controls the display unit (50) to display a piece of service information stored in the storage unit (40) and satisfying a display timing condition.
