The hammer (1) has a fixation element (8) e.g. hole, mounted on a frame of a clock movement, where the hammer is made of tungsten. Effective areas (5, 6) are located at a distance of the fixation element. The effective areas hit a resonating member for producing sound. The effective areas are located on both sides of the fixation element. A recess (11) is adjacent to the fixation element. The fixation element defines a bearing that is cooperated with a fixed pivot of the clock movement. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a wrist watch comprising a hammer (2) a method for fabricating an alarm wheel.
