PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active pantograph having provision for protecting a trolley wire even when an extremely large output is exerted on an actuator. SOLUTION: The pantograph includes a frame that supports a collector head pressed against a trolley wire, a main spring that energizes the frame to move up the collector head, and the actuator 50 that rotationally drives the frame and controls the push-up force of the collector head to the trolley wire. The tip 51 of the actuator 50 is rotatably connected to a bracket 60 to which the base end of a coupling member 53 connected to the frame with a pin 61. Multiple notches 61a are formed in the outer circumferential surface of the pin 61 and when a predetermined load is applied, the pin is fractured. When an extremely large output is exerted on the actuator 50, the pin 61 is fractured and the actuator 50 falls onto a receiving portion 54 set on an underframe 3, stopping the operation of the actuator 50.
