PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a working space under a ground, increase the reliability of an earth retaining support, improve the working efficiency, and set a supporting force according to the soil pressure distribution of an earth retaining wall. SOLUTION: An earth retaining wall 1 is installed along an excavated ground 2, and a support member 5 is disposed on the earth retaining wall 1 on the opposite side of the ground 2. A plurality of bundle members 6 having an extensible function are installed on the support member 5 on the opposite side of the earth retaining wall 1 at proper intervals. The bundle member 6 and the support member 5 which are positioned at both ends, and the adjacent bundle members 6 are, respectively, connected to each other through respective connection members 7 each formed of a structural rolled steel. The earth retaining wall 1 is supported by a frame structure which is formed by integrating the bundle members 6, support members 5, and connection members 7.
