PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a universal fastening tool for fastening members such as a screw and a bolt, capable of lengthening a service life of a coil spring for returning a socket. SOLUTION: This universal fastening tool 4 includes a socket part 40, a holding member 41 and a universal joint part 42 for connecting the socket part 40 and the holding member 41. The universal fastening tool 4 includes a pressing member 9 movably provided on an outer peripheral surface of the holding member 41 to abut on a rear end face of the socket part 40, the coil spring 10 provided between an internal surface of the pressing member 9 and the outer peripheral surface of the holding member 41 to press the pressing member 9 on the rear end face of the socket part 40, and a spring receiver 11 provided on the outer peripheral surface of the holding member 41 to prevent moving of the coil spring 10 to the other side.
