<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine cover for a construction machine, capable of being commonized between a construction machine mounted with a structure included as one of the components of an exhaust gas after-treatment apparatus on a muffler and a construction machine with the structure not being mounted on a muffler. Ž<P>SOLUTION: By covering an opening 21a with a first partial cover 22 of the first partial cover 22 and a second partial cover 23 mounted on the engine cover body 21, an engine cover 20A having a vent hole 22a as a structure compatible with the filter 14 of the exhaust gas after-treatment apparatus built in the muffler 12 is formed at a position of the opening 21a. By covering the opening 21a with the second partial cover 23 of the first partial cover 22 and the second partial cover 23 mounted on the engine cover body 21, an engine cover 20B compatible with the muffler 15 having the filter 14 not built-in and having a flat upper surface not formed with the vent hole 22a is formed.
