PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor which has superior photoreceptor characteristics and excellent sensitivity. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor has a conductive base and a photoreceptor layer provided on the conductive base, and the photoreceptor layer contains a compound represented by formula (1).
