PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute a macro program in response to the number of test pieces on which a test is finished. SOLUTION: The material testing machine includes a testing machine body and a personal computer. An operator uses the personal computer to create and store a macro program for processing by a previously set amount of test pieces prior to the test. From a load cell and extensometer of the testing machine body, test force and an elongation amount in loading the test piece are input in the personal computer and are stored in a temporal storage area. When the amount of test pieces on which the test is finished reach a previously set amount, the macro program is executed to carry out various data processing based on test data in the temporal storage area.
