PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long-span composite beam to be easily transported to a building site, and a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: Upper and lower chords 2 and 3 each are constituted by axially connecting a plurality of rod-like members 5 via a connecting fitting 6. A web member 4 is constituted by continuously arranging a plurality of plate-like members 7 in the longitudinal direction of the upper and lower chords 2 and 3 and joining upper and lower ends of the plate-like members 7 to the upper and lower chords 2 and 3, respectively. Thus, the long-span composite beam 1 can be easily obtained. In addition, since the composite beam 1 can be appropriately disassembled, it can be easily transported to the building site by transporting the disassembled components. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
