PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter material having good productivity for efficiently removing, without clogging, a flocculated product which is included in a blood product for blood transfusion and can cause a side effect of blood transfusion. SOLUTION: The filter material for removing a flocculated product, having a basis weight of 15-60 g/m<SP>2</SP>and a bulk density of 0.05-0.10 g/cm<SP>3</SP>, is a spun laced nonwoven fabric comprising a synthetic polymer staple having a fineness of 0.7-4.0 dtex and a fiber length of 20-80 mm.
