POLISHING SHEET AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polishing sheet having enhanced sticking strength wherein distal ends of a cutting edge out sheet of abrasive particles arranged in a single layer and cutting edges are aligned and loss of the abrasive particles is restrained. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The polishing sheet 1 includes a base material sheet 6 and a polishing layer formed in at least one surface of the base material sheet 6. The polishing layer is formed by the abrasive particles 4 scattered on the single layer and a metal layer 5 for fixing the abrasive particles 4. Each of the abrasive particles 4 at a side contacting an object to be polished is partially exposed from the metal layer 5 and its distal end part is aligned in a same plane.
