The device has an electronic display (3) i.e. LCD, on which a middle line (MZ) is arranged for different value indications of a parameter. The value indications are individually inserted by an input device (5) for selection to a treatment process in a household appliance. The value indication of the middle line is operatively inserted for reading by the input device and is set in special way by representation of the value indications of the remaining lines. Display panels (12-16) individually display readable values of other parameters.
