The hydraulic machine (1) has a piston (4), which defines a workspace (10) in sections, where the volume of the workspace depends on the stroke of the piston. A low- and a high pressure valve (12,14) are provided to control the pressurizing medium connection to the workspace. The valves have a valve body assigned with a valve seat (22,38). The valve body of one of the valves is mechanically impinged with a force indirectly or directly over the piston in the direction of its closing or opening position.
