The transmission (1) has a transmission housing (2) for receiving a transmission lubricant, where a cavity of the housing is formed with multiple gear wheels (7), functional transmission parts (8) i.e. shafts, a bearing and mobile built-in parts. A separate displacement body (9) is inserted into the cavity of the transmission housing for displacement of the transmission lubricant from the transmission housing. The displacement body comprises a base body that is made of plastic i.e. polystyrene. The displacement body is made of a compressible material.
