A printing device, a printing method, a sheet-fed printing press, and a rotary printing press, which are provided with a rotatable impression cylinder (32); a blanket cylinder (31) which is abutted with the impression cylinder (32), is rotatable in synchronization with the impression cylinder (32), and is capable of transporting a print sheet (S) by holding the sheet between the blanket cylinder (31) and the impression cylinder (32); an inkjet head (34) which forms an image on a surface of the blanket cylinder (31) by spraying a heat setting ink; a preheating lamp (35) which heats the print sheet (S) which is to be transferred to a position where the blanket cylinder (31) and the impression cylinder (32) abut; and a heating lamp (36) which heats an image transferred from the blanket cylinder (31) to the print sheet (S).
