<p>Disclosed is an observation device for enabling observation of a high-resolution image. The observation device (100) comprises a sample holder (8) for holding a sample (P), a blade (7) for cutting the sample (P) and sequentially forming a new cross-section, an optical system (3) having a first objective (11) and a second objective (12), and an electronic camera (2) for capturing an image of the cross-section of the sample (P). A main controller (16) allows the electronic camera (2) to capture a partial image corresponding to a part of the cross-section using the first objective (11). The main controller moves an XY stage, thereby changes the relative positions in the XY plane of the sample (P) and the optical system (3), and acquires a plurality of partial images. An image processing unit creates data for each cross-section about a composite image formed by combining the partial images and displays the image on a display unit. Thus, the user can observe a high-resolution image.</p> |
