<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid delivery device for transdermal delivery of fluid medications to patients. <P>SOLUTION: The device comprises an envelope which can be applied to a patient's skin. The envelope comprises at least one diffusion layer (20) coupled to at least one impermeable layer (18) such that at least one chamber (22) can be defined therebetween. Other embodiments include internal diffusion layers (42), and thus can possess additional chambers, as well. In one architecture, a boundary layer (200) enables the device to fix so as to be removable by a patient and blocks radial movement of fluid beyond the outer periphery of the device.
