[Class 38(v)] The magnet a of an electromagnet switch is mounted on a resilient frame g to absorb the shock consequent on impact of the armature. The frame itself is mounted on a plate i by passing a key-hole slot in the frame over a rivet k and then moving the frame sideways. The magnet has projections c which are sprung into slots in the side arms of the frame. The armature, Figs. 1. 2 (not shown), is mounted on a pivoted support by similar projections engaging slots and is secured by a detachable pin. |
