<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein there is trailing of image occurring which causes moving image blurs, when the moving image is displayed in a conventional display panel. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display is provided with: a liquid crystal display panel 21; a write-in control part for controlling a write-in period of a display image for the liquid crystal display panel 21; an illuminator 16, having a plurality of light emitting regions and illuminating the liquid crystal panel 21; a light-emitting control part which is the light emission control part for control the light emission of the illuminator 16, and moving the light-emitting light emission region in the vertical direction of a screen which corresponds to write-in for pixels, by controlling so that light emission of the light-emitting region is not performed, during a period in which write-in is performed for pixels of the liquid crystal display panel 21 corresponding to each of the light emitting region; the write-in control part converts a write-in period from a period of an input image signal to a period of 70 Hz or higher, the light-emitting control part controls the lighting period of each light-emitting region of the illuminator 16 so as to make it coincide with the write-in period after conversion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
