TONER, PRODUCTION METHOD OF TONER, IMAGE FORMING METHOD, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND PROCESS CARTRIDGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve transfer efficiency from a photoreceptor to an intermediate transfer member and from the intermediate transfer member to an image support in a high-speed full-color image forming method, and to output images with good reproducibility for a long period of time by eliminating image defects in each transfer process.

SOLUTION: The production method of a toner includes: a step (A) of preparing solution or dispersion liquid of a toner material containing a binder resin and a colorant by dissolving or dispersing the toner material in an organic solvent; a step (B) of adding and emulsifying or dispersing the prepared solution or dispersion liquid to an aqueous medium to prepare an emulsion or dispersion liquid; a step (C) of producing toner particles by removing the organic solvent; and a step (D) of dispersing the toner particles in an aqueous medium and heating while stirring. In the step (B) or step (C), a surfactant and two types of resin particles are added to the aqueous medium, the resin particles comprising resin fine particles (A) in the same polarity as the surfactant and resin fine particles (B) having a different volume average particle diameter from that of (A); wherein the resin fine particles (B) are incompatible with the binder resin and swell in the organic solvent.
