PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve luminance and reduce a cross talk between adjacent discharge cells, in a plasma discharge panel for arranging respective electrodes so that the mutual arranging relationship between scanning electrodes and sustain electrodes is replaced with every display electrode pairs. SOLUTION: The plasma display panel 11 has a front face plate, a plurality of scanning electrodes 22 and sustain electrodes 23 arranged in parallel on the front face plate and constituting a plurality of display electrode pairs, a back face plate arranged opposite to the front face plate by sandwiching a discharge space, and a plurality of data electrodes 32 arranged in the direction crossing the scanning electrodes 22 on the back face plate. The scanning electrodes 22 and the sustain electrodes 23 are arranged so that the mutual arranging relationship between the scanning electrodes 22 and the sustain electrodes 23 is replaced with every display electrode pairs 24. The scanning electrodes 22 and the sustain electrodes 23 are arranged so that a clearance between the adjacent sustain electrodes 23 becomes narrower than a clearance between the adjacent scanning electrodes 22.
