PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a image acquiring device, a image acquisition method, and a program capable of efficiently evaluating acquired images, on the basis of the image. SOLUTION: In the image acquisition method acquiring a plurality of images, a new observation image in which a partial region of an image on the observed image is magnified to a prescribed size is generated. Each time the designation and magnification of the partial region are repeated for a new observation image, the image of the magnified image is acquired as a magnified image. In the final magnified state, a plurality of images are acquired as the observation images in time series. After the plurality of observation images are acquired, the images of the reduced images, in the order of reverse magnification repeated by the magnification image generation means are acquired as reduced images.
