PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water level measuring system having a cable easily detachable in design change and maintenance. SOLUTION: The water level measuring system includes a water gauge to be immersed in water for measuring a water level, a cable 4 transmitting a communication signal to the water gauge, and a joint 3 detachably connecting the cable and the water gauge. The joint further connects the water gauge side and the cable side in an electrically non-contact state. The cable is detachably connected to the water gauge by the joint, allowing easy detachment of the cable from a sensor casing 10 in replacing the cable because of a design change and so on. Also, a resistance to a lightning-induced surge is improved by leaving the cable and the sensor casing in the electrically non-contact state. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
