PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To meet requirement for a weather strip to be reduced in weight and prevent the outer surface of a mounting part from having unevenness with spoiled appearance. SOLUTION: The mounting part 17 includes outside portions made of sponge rubber material P3 in areas except for leading ends of sidewalls 20 and 21. This prevents the occurrence of unevenness on the outer surface of the mounting part 17 with spoiled appearance. Further, the outside and inside of the mounting part 17 are partly made of sponge rubber material P3 having a small specific gravity for reduction of the mounting part 17 in weight; and a core material 19 is formed with projections for enhanced rigidity with the core material 19 having a plate thickness reduced for lightweight. This results in lightweight of the weather strip 14. Further, the inside of the mounting part 17 have holding lip 23 and their circumferential portions made of high-rigidity rubber material P4 for appropriately enhanced rigidities of the holding lip 23 and their circumferential portions, enhancing the holding lips 23 the holding force of a flange 13.
