PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indium oxide powder to be used for producing an ITO sintered material by pressure-compacting the mixture powder of the indium oxide powder and a tin oxide powder and sintering the mixture powder, which is excellent in packing property. SOLUTION: The indium oxide powder is characterized in that, in a volume-basis particle size distribution obtained by measuring by a laser diffraction scattering type particle size distribution measurement method, (D90-D10)/D50 ranges from 1 to 10.
