ILLUMINANT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE ILLUMINANT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new illuminant (stress illuminant) having excellent versatility and exhibiting high stress emission intensity while being synthesizable at a low cost. SOLUTION: The illuminant comprises LiSrPO4:Eu2+of a monoclinic or contains the LiSrPO4:Eu2+of the monoclinic. In another embodiment, the illuminant is LiBaPO4:Eu2+obtained by intercalating europium (Eu) ion as a luminescence center into the space formed in a matrix structure comprising LiBaPO4of an orthorhombic regulated so that the content of the luminescent center may be 2.0-3.5 mol%. These illuminants are the new illuminants (stress illuminants) exhibiting the high stress emission intensity while being synthesizable at the low cost. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
