PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the estimation accuracy of the longitudinal force, the lateral force and the vertical force to be applied to a tire. SOLUTION: In a pneumatic tire, three or more (n-sets of) sensor units G are mounted on a side wall part 3 on one side Each sensor unit comprises a first strain sensor 10A in which the maximum gain line K1 is arranged in the tire radial direction, a second strain sensor 10B in which the maximum gain line K2 is inclined at the angleθa of 30-60°with respect to the maximum gain line K1, and a third strain sensor 10C in which the maximum gain line K3 is inclined in the other side at the angleθb of 30-60°with respect to the maximum gain line K1, and forms a W-shaped array. The estimation method includes a strain measuring step of obtaining the outputs of total 3n-sets of sensors by each sensor unit, and a rosette analysis step of obtaining three sensor outputs for each sensor unit, i.e., the maximum main strain dataε<SB>max</SB>, the minimum main strain dataε<SB>min</SB>, and the maximum shear strain dataγ<SB>max</SB>for each sensor unit.
