PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component identification system capable of preventing consumable components recycled by partially replacing constituent materials from being incorrectly determined as common regular items. SOLUTION: A consumable component 10 includes a characteristics detection part 101 having a PTC element 100 and an anti-fuse 103. In the case of identifying the consumable component 10, by applying a voltage signal for identification from a power supply part 200 to the characteristics detection part 101, a detection voltage signal is output according to the variability characteristics of the PTC element 100. Since the anti-fuse 103 is open before the application of a voltage signal for characteristics changeover and the anti-fuse 103 is short-circuited after the application of the voltage signal for characteristics changeover, the detection voltage signal is changed before and after the application of the voltage signal for characteristics changeover. Through the use of this, when a main control part 111 detects a sufficient consumption of the consumable component 10, the main control part 111 applies a voltage signal for characteristics changeover to the anti-fuse 103 of the characteristics detection part 101.
