PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phase angle applying rotary device capable of finely and highly accurately applying a phase angle, by always successively limitlessly applying the phase angle in one direction, to a workpiece held by tables on a rotary plate, even in high speed rotation of the rotary plate. SOLUTION: This phase angle applying rotary device 10 has the rotary plate 20 for rotatably supporting a plurality of tables 23 and a phase gear 35 for rotating the respective tables 23 around a central shaft, and has a rotational driving transmitting means for transmitting rotational driving force from a main rotational driving source 22 so as to rotate the rotary plate 20 and the phase gear 35 in the same direction at the same angular velocity, and a rotation angle transmitting means for transmitting a predetermined rotation angle only by rotation to one of the rotary plate 20 or the phase gear 35 from a phase rotating source 36.
