<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paint for modifying combustion air which enhances combustion efficiency of a combustion device to improve fuel economy and reduces harmful substances contained in emission gas. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The paint for modifying a combustion air is obtained by dispersing an enzyme, which is a mixture including at least cyclodextrin glucocyltransferase, chitosanase, pullulanase and amylase, in a curable resin. When a vent pipe to be in contact with combustion air is coated with the paint for modifying a combustion air, the enzyme is homogeneously dispersed throughout and fixed onto the vent pipe. Accordingly, the air passing through the vent pipe can be modified by the enzyme, resulting in enhanced combustion efficiency and improved fuel consumption of the combustion device in which the combustion air is burned.
