Disclosed is a zeolite membrane having excellent separation performance and acid resistance. Also disclosed is a separation membrane comprising the zeolite membrane. Specifically disclosed is a zeolite membrane characterized by having a layer in which at least two different types of zeolite crystals are contained in a mixed state, wherein all of the at least two different types of zeolite crystals can be detected based on X-ray patterns produced by X-ray diffraction carried out under the conditions that meet the following requirements (A) to (C): (A) the output of X-ray is 1.2 kW; (B) an X-ray tube composed of copper (Cu) is used; and (C) the wavelength of X-ray is 1.54058 angstroms. Also specifically disclosed is a zeolite membrane characterized by having a first layer comprising a zeolite crystal and a second layer comprising a zeolite crystal that is of a different type from that of the zeolite crystal contained in the first layer, wherein the first layer and the second layer form a laminated structure and the laminated structure has a thickness of 20 µm or less. |
