The apparatus (100) has a cutting unit (200) for cutting a lamination foil (2), and a cutting table (700) for holding the lamination foil in a cutting position (ZP) when cutting the lamination foil with cutting heads and a rotary cutting disk. An applying unit (900) includes a gripper for holding the lamination foil in the cutting position on the cutting table. The applying unit is designed in such a manner to move with the cut lamination foil into an applying position (AP) and to apply the cut lamination foil onto a carrier plate (1) of a solar module in the applying position. An independent claim is also included for a method for laminating a solar module.
