PURPOSE: A glass paste composition for an insulator of a metal plate type heater, and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to decrease the residual extension stress in the interface with a metallic board. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of a glass paste composition for an insulator of a metal plate type heater comprises the following steps: weighing materials to contain 38~44mol% of CaO, 3~7mol% of B_2O_3, 9~14mol% of Al_2O_3, and 44~50mol% of SiO_2; melting the materials; rapidly cooling the melted materials; crushing the cooled material to obtain a CaO-B_2O_3-Al_2O_3-SiO_2 based glass composition; and mixing 60~80wt% of CaO-B_2O_3-Al_2O_3-SiO_2 based glass composition, 2~5wt% of organic binder, 20~35wt% of solvent, and 2~5wt% of plasticizer, and dispersing to obtain a paste.
