ENIGMA-MDM2 INTERACTION AND USES THEREOF

PURPOSE: A method for treating cancer using enigma and mdm2 interaction and enigma expression is provided to induce apoptosis of cancer cells by suppressing enigma expression. CONSTITUTION: A mdm2(mouse double minute 2) has reduced stability by suppressing expression or activation of enigma. The activation of p53 is increased by suppressing expression or activation of enigma. The suppression of enigma expression is performed by an antisense oligonucleotide which complementarily binds to mRNA of enigma gene, siRNA, short hairpin RNA or RNAi. The siRNA has a base sequence of sequence number 2. A composition for anti-cancer contains an inhibitor of enigma expression or activation as an active ingredient.
