<p>In one embodiment of the present invention, there is provided comprising an insulative housing including at least one groove across the housing along one axis and at least one recess across the housing along another axis, the recess intersecting with the groove; and a contact positioned in the recess and including a lower portion and an upper portion hingedly connected to the lower portion at a first end of the contact and coupled to the lower portion at a second end of the contact via a locking device when the contact is in a closed portion, wherein the lower portion is configured to be coupled to a printed circuit board at a second end of the contact. In another embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a connector on a printed circuit board comprising an insulative housing including at least one groove across the housing along one axis and at least one recess across the housing along another axis, the recess intersecting with the groove; and a contact positioned in the recess and including a lower portion and an upper portion hingedly connected to the lower portion at a first end of the contact and coupled to the lower portion at a second end of the contact via a locking device when the contact is in a closed portion, wherein the lower portion is configured to be coupled to a printed circuit board at a second end of the contact. In another embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a clip terminal comprising a lower portion and an upper portion hingedly connected to the lower portion at a first end of the clip terminal and coupled to the lower portion at a second end of the clip terminal via a locking device when the clip terminal is in a closed position; wherein the lower portion further includes a first wire clamp element and the upper portion further includes a second wire clamping element configured to cooperate with the first wire clamp element to clamp a wire when the clip terminal is in a closed position.</p> |
