PRIMER SETS FOR DETECTION OF CRYPTOSPORIDIUM AND A COMPOSITION COMPRISING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A primer for diagnosing Cryptosporidium and a composition containing the same for diagnosis are provided to easily detect Cryptosporidium in a patient with less oocyst. CONSTITUTION: A primer for Cryptosporidium oocyst wall protein(COWP) gene is used for detecting Cryptosporidium by nested PCR using an oligonucleotide with base sequences of sequence numbers 3 and 4. A primer for detection comprises an oligonucleotide with base sequence of sequence numbers 1 and 2. The Cryptosporidium is Cryptosporidium parvum. A composition for detecting Cryptosporidium parvum contains the primer for detecting Cryptosporidium parvum as an active ingredient. A kit for nested PCR for detecting Cryptosporidium comprises the primer as an active ingredient.
