PURPOSE: A method and a system for providing location information of a subscriber are provided to enable a mobile communication system operator to efficiently use a subscriber network. CONSTITUTION: A VLR(Visitor Location Register)(110) deletes location information of a subscriber terminal. The VLR generates a purge message. The VLR transmits the location information to a location management server(150). An HLR(Home Location Register)(120) deletes the location information by receiving the purge message. An SCP(Service Control Point)(140) receives a location information request of the subscriber terminal from the outside. The location management server stores the location information by the purge message.
