PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION FOR TREATING AND PREVENTING BONY EROSION AND OSTEOPOROSIS COMPRISING INTERLEUKIN-32 INHIBITOR

PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition containing interleukin-32(IL-32) inhibitor for preventing and treating bony erosion and osteoporosis is provided to promote differentiation from monocyte to osteoclast. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for treating and preventing bony erosion and osteoporosis contains interleukin-32 inhibitor and pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. The interleukin-32 inhibitor is siRNA which is able to suppress interleukin-32 expression, antibody which specifically binds to interleukin-32, or antisense oligonuelcotide which specifically binds to interleukin-32. A method for diagnosing bony erosion and osteoporosis comprises: a step of detecting interleukin-32 expression profile from a biological sample of mammal; and a step of comparing the expression profile with expression profile of interleukin-32 with normal control group to determine bony erosion and osteoporosis. The biological sample is obtained from mammal with rheumatoid arthritis.
